Elgin is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Elgin follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. Owner has decades of plant knowledge and loves to teach. Plenty of different varieties of aquatic plants, both Hardy and tropical. It's highly recommended that you call in advance of your arrival. Expect to spend 30 minutes just looking at all the stuff. NOTE: It is a cash only business.

We found this place while searching Google for aquatic plants, but couldn't find too much information about it. We went on a whim and decided to check it out based on the other positive posts, and boy are we glad we did! One thing to note is call ahead and set up an appointment with Robert, so that he knows you're coming. He still graciously helped us out with getting some lovely plants for our pond. He also had quite the collection of bog flowers, while we didn't go home with any we had a great time learning about them! We will definitely be back!
